Ludus Quartett Profile

Founded in 2010, concerts themed as "Mozart, unraveling with string quartet", has been held since February of 2011. Ludus Qurtett mainly performs at but not limited to western-style salons in the Yamate district of Yokohama. In April 2016, its first all-Mozart programme left good impression for its comprehensive structure, including explanation by talk, and serving of snacks and drinks such as wine in partnership with local restaurants. 2016, the four times series performance organized by Isogo Ward Cultural Center was received well. Since 2017, “masterpiece series” consisting of works for string quartets written at any era and made into a program has been performed twice a year. Once during summer-autumn, and once in winter at the western-style salon with its music a collection of classical works. Today, the range of activity has expanded with concerts in Nagano prefecture and school performances arranged by the Agency for Cultural Affairs.
